Overview/Scope:
Due to growth, expansion, and customer requirements Client needs an experienced quality engineer for this highly customer focused and market facing position. This position is responsible for aligning strategic quality systems with companyâ?’s global supply base to the needs of the Semiconductor industry while maintaining competitive costs and efficient operations.Essential Job Functions:• Provide functional direction and alignment for Supplier Quality Systems across all ECI sites• Establish collaborative relationships cross-functionally to understand the voice of the customer for Supplier Quality Systems in the Semiconductor Industry• Develops high level supplier relationships to communicate Semiconductor industry quality systems trends and a road map for implementation• Develops new supplier quality systems and process improvements to prevent issues and excursions and aligns supplier capabilities to market requirements• Plans and implements the new supplier quality systems through training and development at suppliersâ corporate and field sites• Collaborates with Supplier Quality Manager to ensure activities are closely coordinated and aligned with strategies• Establish supplier quality system objectives and KPIâ?’s to measure progress and identify actions to meet agreed targets• Audits/monitors performance of suppliers relative to the implementation of supplier quality systems• Continual development of Supplier Quality competence to drive high performance across the Supplier Quality function across all sites• Facilitate cross-site Supplier Quality improvements that standardizes processes based on global best practices• Develop insights as to the potential cost impact of Supplier Quality Systems and offer ways to mitigate additional costs or to capture cost improvements. Identify any cost impacts and communicate to Procurement and the ECI business.• Interfaces with key customers on Supplier Quality Issues and drives improvement activities with Customers and Suppliers.• Actively participates in customer taskforce efforts to drive troubleshooting and corrective actions.• Abides by all safety procedures and practices applicable to location and position; participates in appropriate safety training; demonstrates commitment to and support of EH&S principles and values; champions safety as necessary• Performs other duties assigned by management that fall within the generally expected scope of this position• Domestic and international travel up to 50% of the time, including international travelExperience Required:• 5-7 years of experience in quality systems development and implementation on a global basis• Experience working with or in high purity chemical or gas suppliers in the Semiconductor Industry• Experience in chemical plant operations.• Solid ability to improve relationships with suppliers at all levels• Excellent analytical skills and abilities; deep understanding of supplier processes and improvement opportunities• Ability to manage in an ever changing environment; change agent• Strong leadership skills to interact effectively internally and externally at multiple levels• Excellent teamwork and facilitation skills• Ability to multi-task; project management skills; ability to think outside the box and develop intuitive and creative solutions• Ability to gain cooperation in implementing significant change in systems, practices and procedures• Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information; ability to simplify complex technical topics for others• Excellent communications skills, both oral and written; proven ability in writing, contracts, etc.• Excellent computer skills including ability to use MS Office Suite, various email, internet, financial systems, and other programs• Experience with ISO:9001 Quality Systems and requirements.Education:• Bachelorâ?’s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, or similar technical discpline is required with a Masterâ?’s degree preferred• Quality Systems Management CertificationsOther:Reports to: Quality Manager N.A.
