“Your first impression in the hiring landscape today is your LinkedIn profile, not your resume,” says Ruben Moreno, who leads the HR executive search practice of Blue Rock Search, a Florida-based executive search firm. If you don’t have a LinkedIn page, that’s something that an interviewer may ask about. Before you start interviewing, get some assistance from someone you trust to ensure that your profile is well thought out, well presented, and includes a high-quality professional photo, he says.
