SUMMARYSanford Rose Associates â Madison is an Executive Search Firm with focus in Food & Agri-business manufacturing, with a strong focus in Dairy, Whey, Cheese & Ingredient.Our Client is currently looking to staff their team with 2 or 3 well qualified Maintenance Technicians. 1st and 2nd shift positions available. This is a recent Greenfield Plant Start-up, so you would be working with state of the art process equipment operations. It is a sanitary food plant operation. The candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining technical and automated food process equipment to include a milk intake, milk powder spray dry operations, bulk bag packaging operation, continuous butter churn operation and associated packaging and CIP / Sanitation systems. Utility requirements include Boilers, Electrical Distribution, Air Compressors, Freon Refrigeration and Wastewater Digester.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform preventative maintenance and/or repairs of production and processing equipment as well as utility related equipment, following all safety procedures. Assist the machine operators with training or troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime. Ensure all repairs are documented. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.JOB REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or GED Desire technical associates degree and/or formal training in mechanical / electrical maintenance. 3 years minimum related experience doing production maintenance type work Must have some sort of sanitary manufacturing experience. Must be able to perform minor electrical work (e.g., change pump motors, diagnose motor control problems, etc.) Must know pneumatics, solenoid valves, and air cylinders Must have the ability to perform routine repairs in a safe and timely fashion (e.g., rebuilding product pumps, water pumps, sanitary valves, samplers, packaging equipment, sifters, piping leaks) Must have the ability to perform routine preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment, identify any abnormal conditions, and maintain appropriate records Must have the ability to understand and follow process control computer variables, schematics, and diagnose system problems Must have the ability to assist other mechanics on more complicated repairs in a safe and useful manner Must have good interpersonal skills necessary to foster cooperation and effectively communicate with others Must have basic computer skills Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be willing to work in Team environment Must be able to read, write and speak English NICE TO HAVE Desire working knowledge of Industrial Electric/Electronics and Motor Control/VFDâ?’s â 480VAC to 24VDC Desire working knowledge I/P based communication Protocol, 4-20mA pressure, flow, and temperature transmitters, using a WonderWare based HMI. Desire working knowledge of Pneumatic based valve and cylinder control, with emphasis on Mix-Proof Valve technology, proportional feedback control, and flow control valves. Electrical, welding, boiler, refrigeration, waste water, or plumbing licenses or certificates are a plusOTHER:Our Client offers a very competitive compensation and benefits package.
