Sanford Rose Associates® – Brown Group specializes in filling mid-to-senior level positions for our life sciences clients, focusing particularly on Life Science Research, Clinical Diagnostics, Biotechnology, Medical Device, and Human identity. Our team’s experience includes leadership positions at domestic and international start-ups and multinational healthcare conglomerates.

Sanford Rose Associates® – Brown Group consists of three offices that were started individually and eventually merged into The Brown Group.

  • The first of these was Sanford Rose Associates – Pen Bay. It was established in August of 2008 by Walter and Margaret Brandes. After Walter’s 35 years of resounding successes leading Sales, Marketing, Operations and R&D teams, and leveraging Margaret’s background as a Registered Medical Technologist, they decided to open a change management consultancy, To The Tipping Point, LLC in Windham, NH and subsequently moved their office to Portland, ME. Very soon thereafter, they added executive search, taking a franchise from Sanford Rose Associates.
  • The second of these three offices was Sanford Rose Associates-Pittsburgh North opened by our President Rodger Brown. After Rodger’s 32 years of successful leadership in Sales, Marketing, Business Development, he established the Brown Consulting & Research, LLC in Pittsburgh, PA, in January of 2006. He then added executive search, with Sanford Rose Associates in March of 2009.
  • Finally, Rodger opened the Research Triangle Park, NC office in February of 2014 when he formed the Sanford Rose Associates-Brown Group that comprises all three offices: Portland, ME, Pittsburgh, PA, and Research Triangle Park, NC.

All three offices now join forces and use the synergy of their experiences to specialize in filling mid-to-senior level positions for our life sciences clients, focusing particularly on the biotechnology, medical devices, pharmaceutical, and diagnostics markets. Our team’s experience includes leadership positions at domestic and international start-ups and multinational healthcare conglomerates.
